Fire marshal called in after West Lincoln fire

The Ontario Fire Marshall’s office has been called in after a home in West Lincoln was destroyed by fire.

It started around 3:30 this morning in an empty house on South Chippawa Road. The fire was so bad, crews were forced to fight it from the outside of the building as they couldn’t go in. They were able to stop the flames from spreading to a nearby building.

Fire officials say it’s too early to determine the cause and damage estimate.
