Fire marshal called in for Hamilton house fire

A fire marshal has been called in to investigate a suspicious Hamilton house fire that happened early this morning.

The fire department says they were called to a home on Avondale Street just before 2 a.m.

The home owners were away, and neighbours noticed smoke coming from the back deck. There was also another fire in the kitchen.

The fire marshal was on the scene investigating today, and damage is said to be about $30,000.
