Toronto police are searching for two persons of interest in this morning’s shooting that left a man and woman dead, and injured three others.

It happened at Drake’s OVO Festival after-party around 3:30am.

Police say the violence began inside the club and then spilled into the streets. Paramedics took two more people to hospital, while a woman shot in the leg arrived in a private vehicle. She is expected to recover.

One officer was within metres of the woman who died, and tried to keep her alive with CPR. She was shot just south of the nightclub. Toronto police say they don’t know how many shots were fired or how many suspects they are looking for.

Police say they are looking for two men.

The first is described as black, around six-feet tall, between 25 and 26-years old. He had buzzed hair, and was wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt with a colourful design on the front, and dark jeans.

The second man is described as brown, between 24 and 28-years old, around 5’11”, and was wearing a yellow plaid shirt.

Anyone who took photos or videos at the after party is asked to upload them to the Toronto police website.
