One dead, another injured in fatal crash on Lincoln Alexander Parkway

A 25 year old man from Caledonia is dead and a 43 year old man from Hamilton is in hospital with serious injuries following a deadly crash on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway (Linc) last night.

Shortly before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, a mini-van driving eastbound crossed the grass median and collided with a large commercial truck that was travelling westbound on the Linc just past Dartnall Rd.

The driver of the mini-van was pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the truck had to be cut out of his vehicle and was transported to hospital.

Several lanes of traffic were closed on the Red Hill Valley Parkway and the Linc as police investigated the collision but all have since been reopened.
