Family confirms death of fourth Canadian in Israel

The family of a missing Canadian-Israeli woman has confirmed her death in Israel, making her the fourth Canadian killed since the Israel-Hamas war started.
Twenty-two-year-old Shir Georgy was at a music festival in southern Israel when Hamas militants launched a surprise attack on the event.
In a post by Georgy’s aunt Michal Bouganim on Instagram, she says the family is a mess and heartbroken.

At least three other Canadians have been confirmed dead due to the Hamas-Israel war.
The Jewish Federation of Ottawa said Adi Vital-Kaploun, who had a large extended family in Ottawa, was killed at her kibbutz near the Israeli border with the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, 22-year-old Ben Mizrachi from Vancouver and 33-year-old Alexandre Look from Montreal died when gunmen swarmed a music festival in southern Israel.
The war has killed at least 3,200 people on both side so far.
