Falcon chicks named

It’s an annual event at the Sheraton Hotel in Hamilton.

Members of the Hamilton Naturalist Club gave three falcon chicks an exam in a Sheraton hotel room.

The club members were given a cold welcome by the mother falcon, named ‘Madame X’, while they borrowed the three chicks to be given a full examination.

Once inside the hotel, wild life experts weighed and sized the chicks.

The babies were born early in May by Madame X and her mate Serge.

Their names are Piggot, Thompson and Gore.

Madame X has called the Sheraton home for the last eleven years.
