Some Bell customers in the Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville region may still be facing service outages due to infrastructure damage from an external road construction crew on Wednesday.
A Bell public affairs spokeswoman said the damage was due to a cut 30 feet in the ground and that services are stable for the majority of customers as crews were “able to mitigate the damage while working on a full repair.”
“Our teams are working around the clock to fully restore services for our customers and thank them for their patience. We are continuing to work with companies who are digging in the vicinity of Bell network infrastructure to help avoid such issues from occurring,” said Patricia Garcia.
Bell did not say the exact location where the damage occurred but that it affected some customers in the Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville area.
