Peter Sarsgaard and Winona Ryder star  in Experimenter a new drama from Michael Almereyda (Cymbeline). Sarsgaard plays psychologist Stanley Milgram, who in 1961 conducted an experiment at Yale University that observed the behaviour of subjects ordered to send harmful electric shocks to strangers.

The experiment revealed that 65% of the subjects obeyed instructions from officials even if it required sending potentially fatal shocks. The drama crafts a picture of the man behind the experiment that exposed human brutality in a modern age.

Experimenter is rated PG and gets a limited release at the Carlton cinema in Toronto as well as iTunes and VOD on October 16th.
