Deniz Gamze Ergüven is having one hell of a year. She debuted her debut feature film Mustang at Cannes last year, screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Foreign Language Film, and just today was nominated in the same category at this year’s Oscars.

We talked to Ergüven at TIFF about her film and working with such a young cast.
