Mary Mapes is the former 60 Minutes producer who was fired from the television show following the 2005 Killian documents controversy. She spoke with Evan about the newsroom drama Truth, the film based on her memoir, Truth and Duty: The Press, the President, and the Privilege of Power.

In the film from director James Vanderbilt, Cate Blanchette stars Mapes, while Robert Redford plays iconic newsman Dan Rather. The controversy led to Rather stepping down as CBS nightly anchor and changed the scope of investigative journalism on major news networks.
