Opening in theatres February 20, McFarland is the inspiring story of high-school coach Jim White, a man who took a group of kids from his predominantly Latino school and led them to the state cross-country running championships in 1987.

Kevin Costner plays White in the film, but when we sat down with the real Jim White, he had a different preference to who should have played him.
