Gabrielle, Canada’s entry for the Best Foreign Film Award at this year’s Academy Awards, is getting a limited release in Toronto theatres this weekend. Directed by Louise Archambault, the film was also nominated for the Rogers Best Canadian Film Award at the Toronto Film Critics Association gala held on January 7. We were able to catch up with the director at the gala to find out what it’s like representing the Canadian film industry at the Academy Awards.
