Etobicoke Uber driver charged with sexual assault in Burlington

An Etobicoke ride-share driver has been charged with two counts of sexual assault following an investigation in Burlington, and police say there could be more victims.

Mandeep Singh, 25, who was driving for Uber at the time, was arrested on Sunday after a June 16 incident at a GO station on Fairview Street in which he approached a woman.

Halton police say that a conversation began in the south parking lot during which the accused allegedly sexually assaulted the victim.

The woman immediately left, and was followed by the accused to a business a short distance away.

Singh allegedly approached and sexually assaulted her a second time.

She did not suffer any physical injuries.

The Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit took over the investigation and were able to identify Singh.
