Enviro officials examining West Harbour barrels

Days after they were revealed, investigators from Ontario’s Environment Ministry are probing a collection of potentially toxic barrels left in an abandoned warehouse, near the proposed site of Hamilton’s West Harbour Pan Am stadium.

They will also check out another set, also revealed Monday by community activist Matt Jelly on CHCH News @ 6 on Wentworth Street North.

Meantime the Hamilton Spectator has found that city officials are keeping a list of possibly contaminated properties – but not making it available to anyone who wants to see it.
