Emergency crews conduct rope rescue at Dundas Peak

Hamilton firefighters are currently conducting a rope rescue at Dundas Peak.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Hamilton fire says a woman and child called for help after they found themselves stranded in an area of the trail and were unable to get back out safely.

Fire crews are currently performing a “technical rope rescue” to bring the pair out safely.

Hamilton Fire Assistant Deputy Chief Shawn De Jager said at this time there are no reported injuries.
