Dundas man wins Emmy Award

A Dundas sound editor has received the ultimate reward for his craft. 54 year-old John Douglas Smith has been awarded a Daytime Emmy Award for his work on the PBS show, ‘The Odd Squad.’  He’s been working on the show for six years and received the honour in the ‘Best Sound Editing for Live Action’ category. The annual awards recognize the best talent in American daytime television –  both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Sound editing -mixing dialogue and sound effects – plays a key role in ensuring the best overall on-air presentation.
