Drug shortage blamed as hospice refuses patient admission

It’s a sad story tonight affecting Canadians, in one of the most difficult stages of their lives.

An Oakville hospice had to turn away a cancer patient this month because it couldn’t get the drugs he needed to be comfortable in his final days. And with politicians now speaking out, the province admitted today it can’t guarantee the drug crisis is going to be over soon. Al Sweeney reports.
