Drug raids in GTA

At least a dozen people are in custody after police conducted a series of early Wednesday morning drug raids across the GTA.

Police say 26 businesses and homes were targeted.

The investigation targeted a network of individuals including some from Hamilton, Belleville and the York and Durham regions.

A large amount of ecstasy, cocaine and other drugs were seized along with firearms and cash.

Police have been working on the sting, called Project Decepticon, for several months.

A news conference will be held Thursday afternoon.
