Driver killed in two-vehicle crash in Stoney Creek

Hamilton police say a 60-year-old man has been killed in an early morning collision in Stoney Creek.
Emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Green Rd. and South Service Rd. around 7 a.m. Tuesday.
A dark coloured 2016 Nissan sedan was travelling eastbound on the South Service Rd. towards Green Rd. when it struck a grey Fiat vehicle from behind.
“This collision caused the lone 60-year-old Hamilton male to be ejected from the Fiat vehicle causing fatal injuries,” said Hamilton police in a news release.
Police say the driver of the sedan, a 32-year-old Hamilton man, sustained minor injuries.
The area was closed for several hours as the Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit investigates. Northbound traffic on the QEW was also affected.
