Dragon Blade is an historical action epic written and directed by Daniel Lee. The $65-million dollar production was filmed on location in China and has grossed $116.8-million this year. The film stars a mix of American and Chinese actors including Jackie Chan, John Cusack, Adrien Brody, Lin Peng, Mika Wang, and Choi Siwon.

Featuring an international cast led by Jackie Chan, John Cusack and Academy Award® winner Adrien Brody, the film features the fight for the Silk Road when East and West collide. When corrupt Roman leader Tiberius (Adrien Brody) arrives with a giant army to claim the Silk Road, Huo An (Jackie Chan) and his group of trained warriors teams up with an elite legion of defected Roman soldiers led by General Lucius (John Cusack) to maintain the delicate balance of power in the region. To protect his country and his new friends, Huo An gathers the warriors of thirty-six ethnic nations together to fight Tiberius in an incredible epic battle.

As is expected from any Jackie Chan movie, there are many sophisticated fight sequences in Dragon Blade. Chan’s own stunt team handled all of the fights in the film and personally trained the actors that lacked an action background. Chan also made sure the stunts were done for realistic. “I prefer to do solid fighting sequences rather than wire-work,” he explains. “There is too much wire-work these days.”

Dragon Blade is rated 14A.
