Doug Ford addresses hot mic comments on Donald Trump

Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford addressed comments Tuesday he made about U.S. President Donald Trump overheard on a microphone.
Speaking to supporters at a campaign event in Etobicoke Monday, Ford said he was, “100 per cent happy that Trump won” before swearing and saying Trump, “pulled out a knife and stabbed us.”
Ford took questions about these comments during a campaign stop in Ottawa Tuesday saying, “yeah he makes me swear once in a while, I think he makes a lot of people swear in this country.”
“I thought it would be a little different, a little change, but obviously he decided to pull a knife out and stab us.”
Ontario Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie posted a new Liberal party advertisement on X Tuesday morning, which used Ford’s comments.
