Donald Trump skips first Republican U.S. presidential debate

The race for the White House is underway. Fox News held the first Republican presidential debate Wednesday for the 2024 election.

Eight candidates took the stage in Wisconsin. The presidential hopefuls touched on a variety of topics from the economy, climate, abortion, crime, and foreign policy.

The latest polls show former President Donald Trump with a commanding lead, but on stage Trump was a no show.

Instead, he sat down for an interview with Tucker Carlson which was released on X – formerly known as Twitter.
