Dog rescued from massive barn fire in West Lincoln: reports

A dog was rescued from a barn fully engulfed in flames Wednesday night in West Lincoln.

A CHCH News freelancer said firefighters responded to the fire around 11 p.m. in the area of Abingdon Rd. and Concession 4 Rd. near Caistor Centre.

Emergency crews had to request additional tankers with water from Grimsby and Haldimand County as there were no fire hydrants nearby.

The fire was under control within one hour and no one was injured.

The freelancer said there are also unconfirmed reports of a horse inside the barn at the time of the fire.
