Despite the last Residential school closing decades ago, the effects are still being felt today

It’s estimated that roughly six thousand children died from abuse and neglect in the residential school system which ran in this country from the late 18-hundreds, up until 1996. Despite the last school closing decades ago, the effects are still being felt today.
