Niagara police have arrested and charged a local defence attorney in connection with an incident outside an Ontario courthouse in late February.
Police allege the incident involved Joseph Ronald Charlebois, 71, and a federal Crown attorney during open court proceedings. Charlebois was the lawyer for the owner of The House of Comedy, Tony Giglioti, who was found guilty of extorting sexual favours from a former employee.
Charlebois is charged with one count of intimidation of a justice system participant. He was released on a promise to appear at a later date.
