Date set for Mayea hearing

After many delays, a date has finally been set for the hearing of Hamilton Police Sergeant Robert Mayea.

Mayea is charged under the Police Services Act with insubordination and neglect of duty related to an unprofessional email sent to colleagues. An evidence hearing has been set for March 24th.

It’s been nearly three years since the charges were laid and the hearing has been postponed 19 times.

Mayea is currently on sick leave.
