Overnight crash in Vaughan sends two to hospital

Members of the OPP are investigating after a white Porsche crashed on a highway overnight in Vaughan, sending two people to hospital.

The single-vehicle crash happened in the westbound lanes of Highway 407 late in the evening on Christmas Day, causing lane closures at Highway 400.

The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old man, as well as the passenger, a 23-year-old woman, were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Police shared several images of the crash this morning, but have not released details as to the cause of the accident.

Photos show the vehicle’s entire front end smashed into a guard rail.

All westbound lanes on Highway 407 at Highway 400 were reopened at approximately 11 a.m.
