Craigslist sex offender granted day parole

John Gallagher, the man sentenced for his role in sexually exploiting a seven year old Hamilton girl advertised on Craigslist has been granted day parole.

Gallagher has served 18 months of his three and a half year prison sentence.

He pleaded guilty to making and possessing child pornography and has been placed on the sex offender registry for life.

He is now being moved to a halfway house.

Gallagher is banned from the internet and can’t have any interactions with people younger than 16.
