Court date set for Lisi

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford’s friend Alessandro Lisi will go to trial on drug charges and have a preliminary inquiry on an extortion charge sometime next year.

Lisi was charged with trafficking and possession of marijuana as well — an indictable offence during an investigation into Ford.

Lisi was later charged with extortion for allegedly trying to obtain a video showing Ford smoking crack cocaine.

His drug trial is set for March 24th to 27th, 2015.
