Conservatives launch new attack ad against Kathleen Wynne

The Progressive Conservatives have launched new attack ads against Premier Kathleen Wynne and the Liberals, in advance of three byelections.
The new 30-second ads portray Premier Wynne as a copy cat of former Premier Dalton McGuinty. They also accuse both Wynne and McGuinty of trying to low-ball the cost of cancelling the Oakville and Mississauga gas plants, which cost around $585 million.
The T.V. Spot also claims Wynne signed a key document authorizing the cancellation of at least one of the gas plants.
The Tories plant to run the ads during the remainder of the Stanley Cup finals.
When asked by reporters about the ads today in Peterborough, Premier Wynne shrugged saying, “the Opposition will take the tack that it chooses.”
Byelections for three Liberal seats, including McGuinty’s, are expected to be held in the next few months.
