Ontario Conservative MP Dean Del Mastro has been charged with violating the Canada Elections Act.

Dean Del Mastro, who represents the riding of Peterborough, has been charged with four counts of violating the Canada Elections Act
in connection with his 2008 campaign expenses. The charges stem from a $21,000 campaign contribution that was allegedly not reported.

Del Mastro was the parliamentary secretary to Prime Minister Stephen Harper until just last week, when he was moved to the
economic development portfolio.

Del Mastro’s official agent, Richard McCarthy, also faces three charges under the act.
