Crash on Hamilton Mountain sends a pedestrian to hospital

A pedestrian is in hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Hamilton Mountain Thursday morning.

It happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. in the area of Upper Wellington Street and Brucedale Avenue East.

Hamilton police say two vehicles were involved and the pedestrian who was hit has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers say the drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene.

The intersection was closed for a police investigation, but has since reopened.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
