College polling stations axed

Plans to open polling stations at 27 Ontario college campuses have been scrapped.

Elections Ontario made the decision because of the ongoing support workers strike.

The decision will stand even if the strike is settled before the Oct. 6 election.

Thousands of students living in residence will now have to vote at the nearest polling station, off campus.
