Climatologist discusses if climate change is driving the shift in extreme weather conditions

VIDEO: As Canada’s wildfire seasons get more intense and winter conditions become more unpredictable, the debate over whether climate change is driving the shift or if it’s par for the course is top of mind. Trending Now’s Manesa Dhanabalan spoke with Senior Climatologist David Phillips.  They spoke about what’s driving Canada’s recent surge in extreme weather and how clearly it can it be linked to climate change.  Wildfires can be an important factor to indicate climate change in Canada, Phillips discusses how Canada compares to other countries who might be experiencing more severe impacts of climate change.
