Claremont Access closed as Hamilton police investigate fatal crash

Hamilton police have closed the Claremont Access as they investigate a single-car crash that killed two people early Sunday morning.
Police say a car struck a wall at the top of the access at 3:10 a.m. The driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is at the scene, and officers are warning motorists that significant traffic disruptions are expected throughout the day.
No word yet on when roadways will reopen, as the investigation is ongoing. Officers say they are considering “all investigative avenues,” and have not identified the cause of the crash yet.
Anyone with additional information, security or dash cam footage from the area is asked to contact police at 905-546-4753.
This is a developing story. More to come.
