City won’t confirm if workers about to be axed

Hamilton city hall has circled the wagons around the undercover investigation into a scandal at its public works department.

Neither the city clerk, the mayor, nor individual councilors were willing to shed any light today on reports that a number of city workers will soon be fired. Scot Urquhart has been looking into the story this afternoon.
