The City of Guelph has been found not guilty in the death of a 14 year old girl.

Isabel Warren died after a wall collapsed on her in a public washroom in the South End Community Park back in June 2009. The city was charged under the Occupational Health and Safety Act for not ensuring the wall was safe. A lawsuit filed by the Warren family against the City of Guelph was reportedly settled out of court in 2011. Guelph’s mayor has called the death of the grade 9 student a “community tragedy.”
