Hamilton City Councillor Sam Merulla is being docked 5 days’ pay after an Integrity Commissioner said he broke the council’s code of conduct during a dispute with a fitness retailer.

The incident happened back in September where he was alleged to have used threats, intimidation and his status to influence the company.
