Christine Sinclair to play final Team Canada match

After a record-setting 190 goals and 330 appearances, Canadian soccer icon Christine Sinclair is hanging up her cleats.

She’ll play one final match as a member of Team Canada tonight in Vancouver – where her career began more than 20 years ago.

The game will be at BC Place, but for the day, the stadium has been renamed ‘Christine Sinclair Place.’

45,000 fans are expected to pack the stands to say a final farewell to the soccer legend before she hangs up her Canada jersey.

As for what she’s planning to do next… Sinclair says she’ll play one more year with her club team, the Portland Thorns.
