A child’s toy left behind at a bus stop in Waterloo has a wonderful new role.

After months of looking for his owner, employees with the Grand River Transit System adopted the stuffed rabbit.

The crew has named him Ryder and they’ve made their bus garage his new home.

But, something magical happened during one bus wash.

Ryder grew into a much bigger mascot, who now rides the buses, teaching people how to use transit safely.
