Child hospitalized after being hit by vehicle in St. Catharines

A child is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon in St. Catharines.
Niagara police say the collision happened shortly after 3 p.m. in the area of McCaffery Crescent and Goodman Crescent.
A police spokesperson says the child was transported to an out-of-region hospital with unspecified injuries. The injuries have seen been determined to be non-life-threatening.
A requested Ornge air ambulance was called off.
