A child has died after being found injured in a home in Brampton on Wednesday.

Peel police were called to a home on Finlayson Cres., near Countryside Dr. and Torbram Rd., around 4:30 p.m.

Police did not confirm the type of injuries, age or sex of the child but say they were pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway.
