Cherry blossom season is truly a reminder for all of us to stop and smell, as well as see, the flowers.

The row of sakura trees at Bayfront Park were donated from the government of Japan in 2002.
The City of Hamilton also received cherry trees in 2005 for T.B. McQuesten Community Park and again in 2014 for Centennial Park.
There are plenty of places where you can take in the blooms across the Golden Horseshoe, including at the Royal Botanical Gardens and Spencer Smith Park in Burlington; Centennial Park, Gage Park, and Bayfront Park in Hamilton; as well as the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens and Kingsbridge Park in Niagara Falls.
