Ottawa police say no charges will be laid in connection to a night-time prowler entering Liberal leader Justin Trudeau’s Rockcliffe home on August 16.

Police say the man came forward after security footage was released last week, and based on evidence they believe he entered the wrong home in error.

The break-in occurred last Saturday, while the Liberal leader was away, but his wife and three young children were asleep.

Trudeau has said he was “extremely troubled” over the incident.
