Charges laid months after death of man in Hamilton encampment fight
Hamilton police have arrested a 35-year-old man in the death of Tyler Hayden Robitaille following a fight at an encampment in September.
Investigators say Robitaille, 37, was found bleeding and unconscious around 3 a.m. on Sept. 27 near MacNab and Jackson streets.
Det. Sgt. Jason Cattle has said that detectives believe there was an altercation at the encampment before Robitaille ran away and collapsed in front of YWCA Hamilton on MacNab Street.
Paramedics then transported him to hospital, where he later died of his injury. Police have yet to release the cause of his death.
Tyler Barberstock has now been arrested and charged with second-degree muruder in connection with the case.
