Hamilton’s CF Lime Ridge is being criticized for their decision to extend hours.
In a memo sent to retailers, the general manager laid out extended holiday hours ahead of Christmas.
“With the recent lockdown of Peel, Toronto and now York Region, we are extending our mall operating hours to help spread out traffic and allow more time for visitors to shop safely,” it said.
This memo was sent on Monday, the same day the city reported a record increase of 150 cases of COVID-19.
The mall will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. until Dec. 23.
The memo says the mall will continue mandatory screening at its entrance.
Hey Limeridge that is not how this is supposed to work. If your city is locked down stay home!!!

Thank limeridge for contributing to the impending lockdown in Hamilton. This is total ignorance and they have missed the point of lockdown, majorly!

Isn’t this the opposite of what the point of lock down is?
The city should be stepping in and stopping this.
