Cause still unknown for Burlington restaurant fire

An overnight blaze at a Burlington restaurant has caused roughly $250,000 in damage.

Fire crews were called to Apple Annie’s Kitchen on Plains Road shortly after midnight Sunday.

The building suffered smoke damage, but firefighters managed to contain the flames to the office and storage room.

Animals from the animal hospital attached to the restaurant had to be rescued.

There’s no word yet on how the fire started.
