Carr: “I didn’t want to give up”

Port Dover’s Annaleise Carr, 14, made history over the weekend when she became the youngest person to swim across Lake Ontario.

She swam 52 kilometres in 27 hours in waves that reached as high as a metre and a half. Annaleise spoke to a supportive hometown crowd this afternoon, and our Lisa Hepfner was there.
