Carney signs multiple bilateral agreements with India after weekend in New Delhi

VIDEO: Following a weekend in New Delhi, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has signed a number of bilateral agreements with his Indian counter-part. The two countries are now aiming to open the door towards doubling two-way trade and secure a free-trade deal by the end of the year. It’s Carney’s first time to India since taking office and it marks a significant change in course from what has been an otherwise strained relationship. In years past, Canada had accused India of foreign interference but it seems that diplomatic friction is being left in the past.
