Carbon tax hike kicks in across Canada
Opposition has been growing to the federal carbon tax, which went up today from $65 a tonne to $80.
So how does that translate to you? Well, gasoline has gone up 3.3 cents a litre.
It’s important to note that the feds offer a rebate to offset the cost of the tax on Canadians.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had some strong words for premiers who have been voicing their concerns with the way the feds are tackling greenhouse gas emissions.
